Continuing Education credits for the NCAD West are provided by the North American Center for Continuing Medical Education, LLC (NACCME).

Additional credit applications and approvals are pending for health educators, certified counselors, social workers, and addiction counselors. This page will be updated regularly.

NCAD West Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, pharmacists, advanced practice registered nurses, registered nurses, social workers, addiction professionals, prevention professionals, health education specialists, certified counselors, and psychologists.

Joint Accreditation Statement

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the North American Center for Continuing Medical Education, LLC (NACCME). NACCME is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The interactive educational conference will occur from August 13-15, 2021 at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel. A question-and-answer session with the faculty will follow the presentations.

To be eligible for documentation of credit, participants must attend the full activity and submit a completed evaluation form. Participants who complete the evaluation online within 4 weeks of the live meeting will immediately receive documentation of credit.

Physician Continuing Medical Education

NACCME designates this live activity for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.

Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Physician Assistants

NACCME has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with the AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for AAPA Category 1 credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

Continuing Nurse Education

This continuing nursing education activity has been approved to offer continuing contact hours for nurse professionals. Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #13255

Psychologists

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, North American Center for Continuing Medical Education, LLC (NACCME) is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. NACCME maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Full attendance is required for all CE activities. Instructional Level: Advanced This activity will award 16.25 continuing education credits. 

NAADAC Addiction Professionals

This course has been approved by NACCME, LLC, as a NAADAC-Approved Education Provider, to provide educational credits. NAADAC Provider #182840. NACCME is responsible for all aspects of the programming.

ASWB - Association of Social Work Boards

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, NACCME is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. NACCME maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing this course receive intermediate to advanced continuing education credits.

Pharmacy

This live knowledge-based activity (Universal Activity Number JA0006201-0000-21-063-L01-P) has been approved for a maximum of 16.25 contact hours (16.25 CEUs). The certificate is not the official record of your participation in the activity. The official record of credit will be the information in the CPE Monitor system. Following ACPE Policy, NACCME must transmit your claim to CPE Monitor within 60 days from the date you complete this CPE activity. NACCME is not able to report your claimed credit after this 60-day period. Eligibility for pharmacy credit is contingent upon the successful completion of a post-test and/or evaluation for each activity or session attended. 

Ethics Credits

Physicians/Counselors who participate in the Ethics Track will be eligible to earn additional ethics hours (pending). Please see agenda to view individual sessions offering individual credit hours.

ADA Statement

Any participant wanting to file a grievance with respect to any aspect of a continuing pharmacy education activity accredited by NACCME may contact the Senior Manager, Accreditation & Compliance, NACCME, in writing at 104 Windsor Center Drive, East Windsor, NJ 08520. The Senior Manager, Accreditation & Compliance will review the grievance and respond within 30 days of receiving the written statement. If the participant is unsatisfied with the response, an appeal to the Senior Director, Accreditation and Compliance, NACCME, may be made for a second level of review.
